Chad
Weaver.

I’m a data analyst and civic tech builder based in Chicago. By day I work as a Business Insights Analyst at McDonald’s, where I build ETL pipelines, Tableau dashboards, and data tools that drive decisions at global scale.

Outside of work, I’m obsessed with building tools that make people think more clearly — products that sit at the intersection of data, epistemics, and civic life. I believe good software can be a force for empathy and collective understanding.

I’m a systems thinker who sweats the details. I care about sustainability, empathy, and clarity — both in the products I build and in the way I work.

Systems thinking
I look for root causes, feedback loops, and second-order effects. Good analysis means understanding the whole system, not just the surface metric.
Empathy in design
Every tool I build is for real people making real decisions. I care deeply about how products feel to use — not just whether they technically work.
Epistemic clarity
I’m fascinated by how people form beliefs and how bad information spreads. I want to build tools that help people reason better — together.
